in World Trade Center Responders

The September 11th Victim Compensation Fund (VCF) can cover 100% of your CPAP alternative treatment cost.

Help for 9/11-Related Sleep Apnea

Anyone who suffers from sleep apnea, and was present in the New York City Exposure Zone in the months following September 11th, 2001, may be eligible for sleep apnea treatment through a federal program called the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund (VCF).

The World Trade Center Health Program (WTCHP), a federal program for 9/11-related health conditions, provides care for both obstructive and complex sleep apnea.

Dr. Danoff's CPAP alternative.

Dr. Danoff has successfully treated thousands of sleep apnea sufferers at his convenient Queens location. While CPAP machines remain a tolerable treatment for many people, others find them bulky, noisy, or difficult to use long-term. That’s why more patients than ever are turning to custom oral appliances — a simple, comfortable alternative that fits easily into your lifestyle. Patients happily travel from across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and even overseas to experience Dr. Danoff's advanced oral appliance therapy and finally enjoy restful sleep without a mask or hose.

Please be aware that mouthpieces sold over the counter for snoring do not address the problem of sleep apnea. Sleep apnea can still affect you even if you are not snoring, and you could be dying in silence while thinking the snoring appliance cured the problem.
